I like the Black Woman better. She's doing a much more acrobatic, difficult stance and she plain looks more arresting and intriguing.

Definitely sisath gurl on the right. Just more artistic and deliberate: the left knee has a nice bend to it as opposed to the other image. The left arm has a nice over-arched bow to it whereas the "homage" pic does not and is flat. The sista's right arm has more bend to it.

The sista has a nice glow of light on her chest/ torso/hip which contrasts quite nicely against her beautiful dark chocolate skin.

And finally, the dark wood on the floor and the powder blue wall background is much MORE appealing. Overall, the picture on the right looks more like a painting or a work on art (kinda like film) and the picture on the left looks more video looking... an imitation.

is this art imitating life or ego imitating kanye? grace jones is the quintessential artist. amber is a beautiful sistah, alluring, yet not arresting, as leo astutely noted. she appears somewhat of a video vixen here; her attempt is a poor sequel but leave it 2 kanye 2 revere grace 25 years lata. i'd be interested in hearing grace's perspective - does she know abou this? did kanye seek grace's artistic, legal and/or spiritual counsel b4 he did this?

i sorta feel bad for sister Amber Rose for lettin herself get led into this smackdown royale and being put on blast...this is the kinda thing you enjoy at home or at a dress-up party w/ friends. Grace Jones redefined Fierce and she is fierce enough artist to get/let a master artist to design this shoot (even if it's her concept, she had to take direction and advice-not to mention the photographer). Besides, when she did this cover, who had seen anything like it?
Look at the angle of her torso! And it's Still Fierce After All These Years. And wasn't she riffin on a statue? I think if Bro. Kanye wants to do a post-post tribute to Sistah Grace, he should strip himself down and start stetching...
