Interview with iconic South African photographer Peter Magubane detailing his career under Apartheid as well as the challenges faced by documentary photographers.
Motivated by the black consciousness of Drum Magazine, began his career under the apprenticeship of Jurgen Schaderberg and documented some of the most critical events under Apartheid as well as everyday life for black people under this heinously oppressive system.
Magubane often had to go about his work undercover as black people were not allowed to photograph in the open.
