This panel will explore masculinity, womanhood and the family in African American Literature, while these topics can be treated separately, they may also be treated together, providing a view of the family within African American texts that can illuminate familial and societal relationships.
250-500 word submissions must be received by March 15th. The SCMLA Conference will be held in San Antonio, TX November 8-10, 2012.
