Welcome to the 2012 Concern Creative Writing Competition.

This year we look to the future...the year is 2050 and the population of the world has surpassed 10 billion people. You have been asked to write a 1,000 word chapter for the 2050 State of the Developing World Report. What will you write about?

Competition Categories 

  • Junior: ages 13 to 15 
  • Senior: ages 16 to 18
  • College: full or part-time student
  • Adult: age 19 years or over (non-student)

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded in each of the following competition categories:

  • First place: netbook computer
  • Second place: e-reader
  • Third place: MP3 player

Winning and selected entries will be included in the Creative Writing Competition book published by Liffey Press.

    Arthur C. Ford,Sr. was born and bred in New Orleans,LA. He earned a Bachelor
    of Science Degree from Southern University in New Orleans,where he studied creative
    writing and was also a member of the Drama Society. He has visited 45 states in America
    and resided for two years in Brussels,Belgium(Europe).He presently resides in Pittsburgh,PA.
    His poetry(lyrics) and prose have been published throughout America,Canada,etc.
    Recently he spent 30 days doing missionary work and travelling throughout the country
    of India.
