Nigerians Saving Nigerians Poetry Contest
Deadline: 29 October 2012
In commemoration of the organization’s first year anniversary, Nigerians Saving Nigerians is pleased to announce an online poetry contest on the theme, “Nigerians Saving Nigerians”.
THE CONCEPT BEHIND THE THEME OF THE CONTEST:
“Nigerians Saving Nigerians” is one that speaks to the very heart of our Nation’s future and survival. No one will fix Nigeria for us; we will do it ourselves.
Our dreams will be built by the undaunted spirit of enterprise and entrepreneurship that is characteristic of the Nigerian people (thinking outside the box). It’s about what we as Nigerians can do to make Nigeria a better place, it’s about what we see in the future of Nigeria; the future that is NOW. It is about how we are willing to change and put aside our bias and prejudices to make Nigeria a better place.
This captures the central ideas behind what the judges will be looking out for in the submissions.
NSN is inviting you to celebrate the anniversary in your most creative and imaginatively expressed poems, so look around and within you, fire up your imagination, pick up your writing tools and get busy!
