who submitted their poetry to the 2010 PSV Student Poetry Contest,
we want to thank you for all the wonderful work you sent to us.
We appreciate the time and energy you put forward
in writing and entering this contest.

Student Annual Contest - 2011 Guidelines

Entry Rules:

1. All entries must be in English, original and unpublished.
Authors retain all rights.

2. Poems submitted to the Student Contest may not enter
the Adult Contest. Poems that have previously won an
award in a PSV contest, may not enter.

3. ONE poem, per student, per page, per category.
Entries will not be returned.

4. Please submit TWO copies of each poem. In BOTH,
note the contest name and number on the upper left
side. In ONE copy add your contact information on
the upper right side. Submit on a all—white 8.5” x 11”
paper, single or double spaced.

5. Include a COVER SHEET:
poets’ name, address, E—mail, phone number,
category name and number, title, teacher’s name,
grade level, and school. Contact information can
be the student or the school.

6. To be considered, please include on the cover sheet a
signed statement, “This is my original work,” signed by
the teacher and student. All entrants must include this
statement, in all categories.

7. Entries will not be accepted by E—mail or special delivery
(certified, registered, FEDEX, UPS, etc.)

8. Winning poems will be notified by April 2011 and will
be published on the PSV web site.

9. Award—winners will be invited to the award ceremony
in Richmond, VA, scheduled for April 16, 2011.
