Eska Mutungwazi Performs

‘Gate Keeper’… in the Woods!

I’ve seen Eska perform this song at least a couple times before but never in a barn. I believe this was recorded at the end of the summer at  in the woods festival, where Lianne la Havas is known to have played before blowing up.

This session is damn near perfect. And what a joy to see on guitar, the lovely Dave Okumu, formerly of Jade Fox, now front man for electronic rock band The Invisible , not  to mention producer for Mercury Award-nominated electro-soul singer Jessie Ware.
