Soundtrack For A Revolution (featuring The Roots)
Although the film has been around for some time, the trailer for Soundtrack To A Revolution has now been released with an official release date of January 31st 2012. The film is a documentary about the music that accompanied the civil rights movement and the importance it played in the struggle for equality that African Americans experienced in the 1950/1960s.
Featuring The Roots, with Black Thought getting his sing song on, but the wider soundtrack will include names such as John Legend, Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, Joss Stone, Mary Mary and legends such as The Blind Boys of Alabama and Richie Havens, check the trailer out below – in which The Roots perform the freedom song “Turn Me Around” with TV On The Radio, – plus an unconfirmed tracklisting of the soundtrack.
