New On DVD – “Why We Laugh: Black Comedians on Black Comedy”

I actually never did see this, when it aired on Showtime in February. I’ll give it a look when it’s out on DVD, which will be tomorrow, April 27th.

Why We Laugh: Black Comedians on Black Comedy, directed by Robert Townsend, “traces the evolution of black comedy from the days of Stepin Fetchit to the present,” and features interviews with comedians including Bill Cosby, Chris Rock, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Steve Harvey, Katt Williams, and countless others.
